Golden Chariot train explores to you the hidden beauty of the Karnataka state and beaches of Goa. You will have a glimpse of the timeless beauty of Hampi village and heritage cities like Belur, Halebid, and Badami. Also explore the Mysore city and the scenic beaches of Goa.

Day:1 Bangalore (Monday)
Our tour representative will transfer you to the hotel Leela Palace, one of the most luxurious hotels in India known for its palace styled building. The checking time at Hotel Leela is 12.30 pm. Then have lunch at a theme restaurant of the hotel. A guided tour in Bangalore is arranged for all the guests. Visit the Tippu’s Palace, Bull Temple & Lalbagh Garden.

In the evening around 8 pm all the guests will be transferred to the Yeshwanthpur Railway Station, Platform No. 6. Receive the warm welcome offered by the train staff. Dinner onboard. Golden Chariot will leave for Mysore city.

Alternate Itinerary for those who do not opt for Leela Palace check-in and Bangalore sight seeing :

Lunch (12 to 2 pm)
Art and culture tour (3.30 pm to 4 pm)
Herbal & Medicinal plant tour, Organic farm tour (4.00 pm to 4.30 pm)
Pottery session & Explore the simplicity of village games – playing Indian village games & Bullock cart rides (4.30 pm to 5.30 pm)
Rest and depart to Yeshwantpur Railway Station (6.00 pm to 6.30 pm)

Day:2 Mysore-Kabini (Tuesday)
Have breakfast onboard. The Train will leave for Kabini/Bandipur. At around 1 pm you will reach Kabini which is home to the Rajiv Gandhi National Park, once the hunting retreat of the Mysore maharajas. Check in at a jungle lodge.
Set out on a jungle safari in the park. The main wild animals found in the park are elephant, gaur, sambar, chital, wild boar and the more exclusive predators like tiger and leopard. This Park is also a paradise for the bird lovers. You will stay overnight at the jungle lodge.

Day:3 Mysore (Wednesday)
After breakfast, you will come back to the Mysore city. You will reach the train at 11.30 am. Have lunch at the restaurant of Golden Chariot. Around 3 pm you will explore the Mysore city.
Mysore is known as the city of palaces and known for its silk and sandalwood. Once ruled by the Wodeyars dynasty and Sultans, Mysore houses palaces and majestic buildings. This city still echoes the rich tradition of music and dance.
Explore the Mysore Palace built in Indo-Saracenic style featured with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades. It houses exquisite carvings and works of arts from across the globe. One of the worth seeing attractions is the jewel-studded golden throne. Visit Srirangapatna, the island fortress of the legendary warrior king Tipu. It houses the Tipu's mosque with its twin minarets, the Wellesley Bridge and the dungeons.
Then you will travel to Bridavan Gardens for cultural show. Have dinner at Hotel KRS. Return back to the train and board the train.

Day:04 Hassan (Thursday)
The train will leave for Hassan at 6 am and will reach Hassan at 8.15 am. On the fourth day of Golden Chariot Train Tour, you willvisit the three heritage sites of Hassan district. Proceed towards Shravanabelagola, the Jain pilgrimage centre which is home the largest monolithic statue of Asia, Lord Gomateswara. There are 700 steps to the top of the hill where the statue is located. If you are not able to climb the steps you can climb by the palanquins.
Return back the train and have lunch. Post lunch you will tour Belur and Halebid. These heritage sites are home to the temple architecture of the Hoysala architecture. Belur houses the Chennakesava Temple while Halebid is home to Hoysaleswara Temple.
Return to the train. Dinner onboard. Then the Train will leave for Hospet.

Day:05 Hospet (Friday)
The Train arrives at Hospet. After breakfast onboard move towards Hampi village. Hampi was onetime capital of the Vijayanagar Hindu kingdom and it was invaded and plundered by Mughal. The ruins of Hampi village reflect the rich art and cultural heritage of the Vijayanagar kingdom. The remains of the palaces and temples are feast to an eye. There are two segments namely Royal centre and Sacred centre.
You can also enjoy a coracle ride to the Anegundi village to explore the countryside of Karnataka. Return back to the train and overnight stay.

Day:06 Badami (Saturday)
At around 5 am the train will leave for Badami. On arrival at Badami you will set out your sightseeing tour.
Badami is a World Heritage Site known for its caves architecture, mainly the 81 dance posture Nataraja architecture. Pattadakal is home to the temples built by the Chalukyan kings. The kings were crowned here.
After sightseeing return to the train and it will leave for Goa. Dinner onboard.

Day: 07 Goa (Sunday)
Post breakfast, start your sightseeing in Old Goa. Visit the churches and the Portuguese building in Goa. Visit the Old Portuguese house Sola Souto Maior for tea/coffee and cookies. After Old Goa sightseeing you will proceed towards Majorda Beach Resort for lunch.
Post lunch, you can experience an ayurvedic massage. Explore the beaches located nearby. Return to the train and it will leave for Bangalore.

Day:08 Bangalore (Monday)
On the last day of Golden Chariot train tour, the Train will arrive at Bangalore Railway Station. Get off and say goodbye to all.
